Ms Phoebe Wong has obtained her qualification in both Canada, and the United States. After obtaining her master’s degree and an internship in the United States, she practiced in British Columbia and worked as an educational psychologist in a local public school district.
Since 2017, Ms. Wong has been committed to supporting students with different special learning needs, including special learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disabilities, etc. Her dual background in psychology and applied behavior analysis (ABA) enables her to provide comprehensive support, tailored to the individual needs of her students.
Ms. Wong excels in identifying each student's learning strengths and weaknesses through psycho-educational assessments and the process of formulating Individual Education Plans (IEP), to ensure that they receive comprehensive support. In terms of counseling, Ms. Wong also has extensive experience in teaching students different skills through counseling groups, including friendship building, conflict resolution and alleviation of anxiety symptoms.
Besides direct services, Ms. Wong is committed to building the capacity of educators through training, providing research-based literacy intervention training designed to enhance teachers' ability to support diverse learners.
