Individual Training for School-age Students

Individual Training for School-age Students

Our centre provides individual training for school-age students, led by special education teachers, with the goal of enhancing students' abilities in learning, thinking, and data processing through a series of targeted exercises. This, in turn, improves students' academic performance and helps them overcome learning difficulties. Recent research has found that the brain has great plasticity, and through training, cognitive abilities can be enhanced and applied to daily life and academics.

School-Age Training

Our centre aims to provide a series of effective and unique individual training and activities for school-age students, promoting their overall development and learning abilities, and preparing them to adapt successfully to the school environment and academic requirements. These training sessions are provided by professional special education teachers and tailored to the individual needs of students.

Goals of School-Age TrainingService Features
  • Language and Communication Skills: Cultivate students' oral expression skills, enhance listening comprehension, enrich vocabulary, improve grammar and pronunciation skills so that students can communicate and express themselves more effectively.
  • Cognitive Development: Promote students' cognitive and intellectual development, including improving attention levels, enhancing memory, fostering problem-solving skills, encouraging logical thinking, and nurturing creativity. These are crucial for students' learning and thinking abilities.
  • Learning Habits and Self-directed Learning Skills: Train students to establish good learning habits, including setting learning goals, effectively managing time, and acquiring problem-solving skills. At the same time, encourage students to develop self-directed learning abilities, enabling them to become active thinkers and self-directed learners.
  • Assisting Students with Special Needs: For students with conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and autism, school-age training aims to provide specialised support and strategies to help them overcome learning difficulties and improve learning outcomes.
  • Enhancing Learning Abilities: School-age training focuses on enhancing students' reading ability, comprehension skills, strategic reading skills, mathematical ability, and metacognitive abilities. These abilities are essential for students to succeed in various academic subjects.

During the training process, students will also develop self-confidence and motivation to pursue goals, becoming active thinkers and improving their individual learning achievements. By providing individualised support, school-age training aims to help each student reach their full potential, build confidence, and achieve success.

Our service combines the features of individualised support, diverse teaching tools and methods, and the principle of respecting individual differences. This will help each student achieve their personal learning goals and establish a solid foundation for their learning success.

  • Gifted and Remedial After-school Tutoring: Providing support tailored to students' learning abilities. Gifted students can further enhance their skills and knowledge, while students with learning difficulties can receive remedial tutoring to bridge the gap between them and their peers in learning.
  • Dialogic Reading: Using dialogic reading approaches to understand students' reading difficulties and needs, promoting reading comprehension and various language expression skills.
  • Training for Students with Learning Difficulties and Behavioural Needs: We focus on training students with learning difficulties and behavioural needs, such as dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), etc. Specially designed instructional plans and methods are utilised to help these students overcome learning challenges, including reading, attention, memory, performance, and behaviour. For example, teaching students the components of Chinese characters to enhance their reading skills. For students with hyperactivity, we provide attention training to help improve their focus skills.
  • Game-based Interventions for Special Learning Needs: Gamified learning is an engaging and interactive teaching approach that enhances student participation and motivation.

Special education teachers will consult with parents and make training suggestions and set goals based on the students' age, developmental progress, learning needs and family environment to support students who encounter learning difficulties and establish positive self-worth.

Special education teachers will also provide "conversational reading" and "game intervention" for students in need to help students practise what they have learned and prepare for academic studies. You are welcome to book a class or pay attention to the relevant details.
