Terry has over 20 years of experience teaching in local mainstream kindergartens and childcare centers, alongside nearly 9 years serving as a Special Child Care Worker in pre-school education institutions. Her roles have encompassed integrated services, on-site preschool rehabilitation, special child care center services, and first-tier support pilot programs. Understanding that every child has unique personality and strengths, and acknowledging that each family plays a significant role in supporting the child, Ms. Chan places great emphasis on communication with parents with the shared goal of helping the child progress at their own pace.
Service scope
- Through the use of games, children learn basic preschool concepts such as objects, space, colors, shapes, and mathematics. This approach enhances children's skills in areas of focus, imitation, listening, and expression
- Utilizing group activities and games, children are able to apply their learning in appropriate manners, attitudes, and forms when interacting with peers, thus incorporating these skills into their daily lives
- In sync with the child's home environment, recommendations and consultations are provided to parents to assist the child in learning self-care skills such as dressing and eating
- Through various activities, children are trained in coordination skills of both hands, flexibility in finger movements, and fine motor skills, thereby assisting in pre-writing penmanship
- In alignment with environmental experiences, assistance is provided for children's emotional development and enhancement of communication and social skills
