"Tutoring and Training" Programme for SEN students is a one-on-one tutoring and training service designed specifically for students with Special Educational Needs (SpLD, ADHD, ASD, etc.) and students who are having academic difficulties.
First Phase: Setting up an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) + 22.5 Hours Tutorial and Training
3137.5 HKD after reduction (Original price: 6700 HKD)
- Educational Psychologist will provide an initial assessment to get to know the student, and write an individual study plan based on the assessment
- The assessment must be conducted at our Prince Edward Centre.
- 22.5 hours of 'one-on-one tutorial and training' will be carried out by SEN tutors (supervised by SEN teachers and educational psychologists)
- A monthly written report will be provided to parents on the learning progress
Second Phase - 22.5 Hours Tutorial and Training
3037.5 HKD after reduction (Original price: 6100 HKD)
- 22.5 hours of 'one-on-one tutorial and training' will be carried out by SEN tutors (supervised by SEN teachers and educational psychologists)
- A monthly written report will be provided to parents on the learning progress
Students with special educational needs can also shine on the path of growth
as long as they receive appropriate support.
Note:
- The services is funded by the Shih Wing Ching Foundation and the Sie Fund. Training and support are provided by Impact Incubator.
- There is a high demand for the services, applicants might be placed on a waitlist
- The services lasts for ONE year, in which 45 hours are subsidized. Parents need to pay in two installments and complete 45 hours of service.
- Families receiving CSSA or Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme are eligible for application. Parents of applicants are required to provide relevant supporting documents.
For families receiving other government subsidies and whose financial capacity is affected due to special circumstances, fee reduction will also be considered as appropriate. - Video recordings will be made during the service period for the use of training and supervision by SEN teachers and educational psychologists.
Parents are required to sign a consent for video recording to ensure the privacy of students is protected in the project. - Parents can request to change their tutor once during the phase 'Setting up an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP)'. There will be no replacement thereafter.
