Edge Development Centre is committed to cultivate a new generation of talents, especially undergraduates with psychology/education related majors, so that every student can apply the knowledge or theory they have learned in real-life practice.
Intern roles
We provide different internship positions for young people according to their interests and strengths. Interns can work in the following areas:
- SEN Tutor
- To conduct after-school tutorial groups in local primary schools or online; or one-to-one tutorial classes with SEN students
- Directly supervised by Education Psychologist
- Well-being Tutor
- Conduct a group tutorial and individual counseling session for junior secondary school students
- Directly supervised by Clinical Psychologist or Counseling Psychologist
- Psychological Assistant
- Assist clinical psychologists in preparing psycho-educational materials
- Assist in planning and implementing psycho-educational activities such as talks and workshops
- Supporting psychologists in clinical works
- Carry out other general clinical duties and provide administrative support
- Media & Marketing
- Draft different psychology-related (e.g. SEN, mental health) posts
- Design social media graphics or creating videos
- Manage website and other marketing-related duties
Requirements
- University students of year 1 or above
- Degree in psychology/education or therapy-related majors preferred
- Proficient in Chinese and English writing and fluent in Cantonese
- Enthusiastic in learning and highly motivated
Location
Wong Chuk Hang (Genesis) office, other centres or schools; work from home is available
Duration
This internship can be full-time or part-time depending on the applicants’ schedule. Internship period is also flexible, from 2 months to one year.
