Founded in 2018, Edge Development Centre (Edge) is a social enterprise and think-tank that aspires to provide evidence-based practice (EVP) through its service, together with front-line clinical professionals. Through multi-disciplinary collaboration and strong adhesion to the scientific methods, we actualize "Practices that work" in both macro (society-level) and micro (client-level) perspectives.
We are currently hiring for the following positions (details available in Chinese only):
Part-time Tutors
The AP Good Shepherd Project Mind and Study Matter: Tutoring and Counselling Programme and Tutorial and Training Programme for SEN students , are continuously recruiting SEN Tutors and/or Well-being Tutors.
- Job duties of SEN Tutors: to conduct after-school tutorial groups in local primary schools or online; or one-to-one tutorial classes with SEN students
- Job duties of Well-Being Tutors: conduct a group tutorial and individual counselling session for junior secondary school students.
- Free training: the centre provides a series of free training courses for all participating tutors
- Close Supervision: You will be closely supervised by an Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, and Counselling Psychologists, and receive guidance on how to accommodate the needs of students; Periodical online case conferences will be conducted to share effective strategies and methods
- Certificate: You will receive a certificate upon completion of the whole training module
- Salary: an hourly pay of HKD$120, all inclusive (may vary according to cases)
- Service Hours: at least 2 days a week, each session will be 1.5 to 2.5 hours long; school group tutorial normally takes place on Monday to Friday afternoon; while community or home service would be Monday to Friday after school or during weekends
- Qualifications: Current students or graduates of undergraduate degree or above (Psychology/Education/Therapy-related majors will be given priority), teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Reference Letters can be given to tutors who show excellent service and learning
* Tutors should at least serve one semester

Contract Project Officer (Ref: J-G-FT-PO2212)
Duties: organise large-scale school-based projects and centre services, administration, communicate with parents and school, etc.
Requirements:
(1) University graduates
(2) Strong organisational skills and team work
(3) Experience in organising large projects preferred
(4) Fluent written and spoken Manderin, Cantonese and English
Salary and Benefits:
Monthly salary of $18,000 or above, 39 weekly flexible working hours, 14 annual leaves, free training and staff counselling provided, further learning subsidies are available
Working location:Wong Chuk Hang (Genesis) office, other centres or schools; work from home is available

Part-time SEN Teacher
Duties: Provide homework guidance and "individual differences" training for SEN students in schools
The teacher has to fulfil the following criteria:
- Must be able to independently design courses for SEN students
- It is necessary to record the students' learning performance and situation after the activity
- Mentors with individual and group experience in teaching SEN students are preferred
- Previously/currently studying SEN special education or PDGE tutor is preferred
- People who are keen to join the education field
Requirements: Registered education teacher; knowledge of special education courses and experience in supervising teachers is preferred
Salary and Benefits: $120 per hour; provide on-the-job professional training, observe classes according to needs (by professional supervision team), etc., provide tutor support training from time to time
Working location: schools and household in different districts, welcome tutors/teachers from different districts to join us
Working hours: part-time and freelance, flexible working hours, including weekends
